Dalai Lama at the Kohl Center - A lecture by His Holiness in Madison

Last Saturday tickets went on sale for student for "A Lecture by His Holiness" - The Dalai Lama, hosted by UW-Madison, which is taking place at the Kohl Center, Friday, May 4th at 2:30pm. Tickets for students are free, otherwise they are $25 a piece. I heard that the last time he came that tickets sold out within 2 hours for students, so I decided to show up 45 minutes before the ticket release time, which was an excellent idea, since about 15 minutes before they started to give them away, the line was already lined half way around Camp Randall Stadium. We ended up being about the 100th person in line, with 2000 tickets being given away. I got tickets in section 101, row C, which is pretty darn good if you ask me. The lecture talk is pretty far away, but I am definitely looking forward to it. I'm sure I'll post more about it once the event takes place, so stay tuned.
