Google is Freakin\' Crazy
All that I have to say is, "Google is freaking' crazy." Google is taking the internet by storm and is revolutionizing the web in ways never thought possible.
As a web developer, I am constantly using services provided by google, such as..
- Google Adsense
- Google Adwords
- Google Sitemap
- Google Search
- Google Analytics
- Google Trends
and the list still goes on. Know what's even crazier? All these services that google is provided is .:FREE:. to anyone! wow!
Google is creating a whole new web sphere with its motto "Do no evil" and is turning the internet into a huge community run by lightning fast internet connections distributing data and information across the world, and easily indexing this information so that everyone can access it with a simple search
Lets look at the advancement of search. I took a introduction to Data Structures class at UW-Madison last year. In this class I learned the basic concepts of search and how it works. I am sure google uses these techniques to deliver incredibly fast results from indexing webs from their spider crawlers.
I learned of a method called hash indexing, which is one of the fastest methods of search. It sorts given pieces of data by giving it a hash number, and when it wants to call upon it, it is run through a hash index code generator, and you can find the exact spot of where that data is stored, resulting in an incredibly fast search. Now google has taken a step further, they have integrated a spell checker, froogle product integration, so if your searching for a product, it will display results of its froogle product database, as well as having a page rank for websites that gives value to the content within a site.
This is what google can do now, after being around for a couple years. Google is buying out all the mathematics PhD's around the world to do high calculations for their algorithms and projects. Google is taking over the world slowly, starting with the internet
I plan on investigation google products they offer, and I will go into detail on how you can use them to your advantage, because all these services are free, and should be used to their fullest extent. Leave some comments on what you think google will come up with next...
