Madison Craigslist = Making Sweet Cash
For the past week I have been posting some of my valuables on Madison Craigslist to see if anyone would want the things I do not use. Of the 5 Items that I posted, I have gotten over 25 e-mails from legitimate buyers who were interested. In selling 3 things, I have received $105 so far, and I have a couple other things listed which will hopefully bring in more.
Craigslist is a website built by agrassroots team of programmers that are re-inventing online Classifieds ads. It's been reported that Newspaper classifieds ads are suffering due to the amount of people switching over to the easy to use Craigslist system.
It only takes about 5 minutes to post anything, you dealing with local people only, and best of all, it's free. If you were to post something on Ebay, you first off have to give them your credit card, then pay a fee to list the item, then wait 7 days while people bid on it, and then package up the item, and ship it off. With Madison Craigslist, you deal with people right in the Madison and the surrounding area, which means that you are getting a better price for your item since you don't have the added cost of shipping, and you don't have to deal with middle-man transaction companies like Ebay and Paypal.
Craigslist offers postings for housing, jobs, things for sale, personals and much more. I have gotten alot of responses for people needing a web designer. Overall I think Craigslist is a one of a kind start up company that making the internet a better place by offering a free forum to exchange one person's junk into another person's treasure.
