Paying the Rent Blogging
Well it's summer now, I have yet to write a post in my blog this month and it is already almost halfway through June. I've been busy developing a couple websites and making sure that they are all running at peak performance. Since Febraury steam has been picking up on this blog, with now at average around 1000 people visiting my blog a day, with around 2,000 page impressions a day(total times a page is loaded).
In May came a very high peak with me averaging around 1,400 page impressions. I started putting Google Adsense banner ads on my site around February and was making peanuts of around $2 a day. It seemed like it would take an eternity to reach the $100 mark when google actually lets you cash out money from your account. However with some clever Google Ads placements, I started to get my click rate up, (the rate at which someone clicks an ad everytime a page is viewed) and also switched some keywords so I could have more high paying keywords displayed on my site, and pretty soon I was average in $15 a day in adsense revenues, with a high of $37.24 in a single day. For the month of May, I cashed out $486.43 by solely having visitors click on my ads. My rent bill came out to $499.95 including cable, heat and electricity. I also made an additional $35 from Google Adsense search which allowed me to pay my months rent by blogging.
