Shakira Spoof Website
Alright, this is my new devious plan...
It has been in the making for atleast 2 weeks now and I shall share it with you meow.
I saw that there was a funny Shakira Spoof video out. This video has attracted much attention. It was made by a couple kids for a school project. They uploaded the video to both youtube.com and google video. On YouTube, comments are allowed and everyone loved it. I did some research and found out that in June, when the video first started getting popular, there were 51 searches for the term "Shakira Spoof."
So i went to Godaddy.com and checked to see if the domain name ShakiraSpoof.com was taken. It was not. I purchased it for $9.20 and used the tools provided by YouTube and Google Video to embed the Shakira Spoof video onto my website. YouTube has a license that allows the redistribution of all videos posted on it, so this is perfectly legal.
To go along with the website, I've added google ads to the top and bottom of the page thus far, and so far I have received 71 hits.
Now my goal with this site is to test out my new search engine optimization (SEO) skills that I've been reading up at, at work. Go to google.com right now and search for "Shakira Spoof" and you will see my website coming in at rank 4.
I have also installed Google Analytics into this site so it gives me a detailed report of where my visitors are coming from, if they visit my site through google search, what they searched for and so on. Pretty neat eh? This is my subtle attempt at becoming rich and famous one day by mooching off of someone else's great idea and fame. Humpfffff
