Cannonball Adderley - Somethin' Else

With Cannonball Adderley on alto sax, Miles Davis on trumpet, Hank Jones on piano, Sam Jones on bass, and Art Blakey on drums, "Somethin' Else" brings together a whole lot of phenomenal jazz musicians to create a masterpeice. The first song on the album is "Autumn Leaves" with Miles taking the first solo, followed by Cannonball. The only thing I can think of to explain this CD is "classic jazz". I really enjoyed listening to Cannonball express himself on the saxophone, without having Coltrane around let him play more freely, as it can show in the opening of "Dancing in the Dark."
